A Meditation from Deacon Barbara
I have had this meditation tucked away in a book for years. I read it from time to time and the words never fail to touch my heart.
I was reading poetry, Tagore I believe, and the folded page slipped into my lap. I, once again, read it and felt it was just too beautiful to keep just for me. I wanted to share.
Sin is separation from God,
separation from the source.
Think of it. There would be
no murder, child abuse.
Faith is knowing God sends
us out but will be with us.
The only promise is that God
will be with us always.
At 5 pm, I must hang it all
on the cross because if I don't
do that, I'm in effect saying
God can't handle it, I can.
Always remember that JC needed
solitude and sought it so that he
could connect again with
the source.
Miracles? I never hesitate to ask.
Why are some answered and
some not?
We will know one day.
