Halloween, Christmas

Halloween Party - Our annual Halloween Party is a fun-filled occasion for the Sunday School students. It involves games, pumpkin painting, fortune telling, a Halloween treat hunt and lots of candy and prizes. Awards are presented for especially creative costumes.

Christmas Pageant - This annual celebration of the Christmas story is told by children of Sunday School age. Through dramatic interpretation, the children present the story of Christ's birth using a different script each year, incorporating many of their favorite Christmas carols into the performance. The children present the performance at a Sunday service in December.

Fr. Stephen's Christmas message:

Dear Friends,

My four grandchildren were so excited to attend their first Breakfast with Santa! It was spectacular, to say the least.

The report I received from my daughter was that the highlight of the morning was the opportunity for Becca, age 3, and Will, age 5, to buy Christmas presents for their parents. It was the very first time they had done so. They came to Breakfast with Santa eager to receive a present. They left with a totally new experience – giving a Christmas present.

That's the miracle of Christmas. We experience first-hand the joy in the giving. I remember the first time I gave my parents a Christmas present. It was a record, The Kingston Trio. I'll never forget that experience, the joy in giving.

Yes, we do receive the greatest gift ever at Christmas time, the Birth of Jesus. It is the gift of God celebrated annually, that brings joy to the world.

What's most precious about the gift of Jesus in our lives is that once it is received into our hearts, it allows you and I to live in such a way that you and I may be the gift to others.

The birth of Jesus, God's gift to us. The gift that keeps on giving, from God to us, and from us to each other.

Have a Blessed Christmas.

Warmly,

Fr. Stephen
